![]() ![]() After an extended break due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, the RØKKR made another grand final appearance in Week 5 where they once again lost, this time 1-3 to the Florida Mutineers. ![]() This time they defeated FaZe but lost 3-2 to Dallas in the final. Similar to the previous week, Minnesota beat the Seattle Surge twice and then faced off against Atlanta FaZe again in the semifinal of Week 4. In Week 3, the RØKKR made their first possible semifinal appearance, despite only beating the Paris Legion two times in the group stage. They put on a show in front of the home crowd by beating Los Angeles Guerrillas in dramatic fashion (winning map two by forfeit) and taking down Toronto Ultra in the Battle of the North. The RØKKR entered Launch Weekend as a middle of the pack team but number one to their fans in Minnesota, where the first ever Call of Duty League event was taking place. Following FaZe Clan's purchase of Red Reserve's Pro League spot, Cellium, Asim, and ZooMaa all joined the main FaZe Clan roster.Īsim was announced in Minnesota RØKKR on October 24, finalising the starting roster for Call of Duty League 2020. They made it to the final but lost in map 5 to the all-star Pro League pickup team of Yerr. Simp returned to eUnited after the event and ZooMaa joined as a substitute for the WorldGaming Network Championship Series 2019 Grand Finals. The team dominated the CWL Fort Worth Open 2019 by only dropping 4 maps and topped it off by beating Mindfreak in the Winners Final and Grand Final. Following the failure to qualify, Mosh and Tisch left the team and they were replaced by Cellium, from the main FaZe Clan roster, and Simp, on loan from eUnited. Dropped into the losers bracket, the team lost to Overtime eSport who also knocked out Faze Clan in the next round. In the first round, they would have to face Mindfreak again and they would lose again. They went 3-3 in their group at the Qualifier and barely managed to make it into the final qualifying bracket. This Top 24 placement was enough to qualify for the important CWL Pro League Qualifier. They got out of the Open Bracket at Vegas but then lost to Mindfreak 3-1 in the first round of the Championship Bracket. Their great results led to them getting signed by FaZe Clan' academy team, FC Black. The team quickly rose to the top of the amateur ranks and won the final 2K before Las Vegas. He joined GRVTY, Mosh, Phantomz, and Tisch playing under the name Sweet Chicken. This may sound crazy but give me your thoughts.Asim competed in online tournaments before the 2019 season but really made a name for himself at the beginning of the Black Ops 4 season. I’m saying all of this to say because we Know Ultra and Dallas don’t like losing so they’re gonna be preparing their hardest to take Down Rokkr and that might put more pressure on Rokkr because now they have to come up with a new gameplan and change their setups and whatever so that they aren’t too predictable. Especially knowing that they aren’t gonna be an easy win. With two weeks of time to practice and watch vods Toronto and Dallas both losing to Rokkr means that they will be studying Rokkr and doing everything they can to counter them. They have to play Dallas their first match and if they win Toronto again. I know this sound stupid when you read it but when you think about champs and how it’s 2 weeks away Rokkr just made a run beating some of the top teams making themselves a “target” and a team not to take easy. I know I may get hate for this and downvoted or whatever but I have a feeling that they made a run at the wrong time. ![]()
